While watching President Obama's address to the nation......
1.) 2-4 of your opinions/reactions to the speech in general.
2.) List 2-4 different issues that the President spoke about along with your opinion on the ISSUE. (Do you agree with the President's viewpoint or how would you like to see the situation handled.
3.) Overall do you feel better about our country after listening to President Obama?

1. They Stand up and clap a lot.
ReplyDelete2. Obama is a very motivational speaker.
1. The economy is starting to grow back again after the resection. I agree that it is growing more that it has in the past 2 years.
2. The household income has decreased over the years on average by 2,524.
3. Not really there are still a lot of problems with the economy and all these things he said doesn't mean anything until they actually happen.
Don't you have to be an American to say "fellow Americans"?

I f technology is so great, why is it taking over millions of job. If we want to create jobs, why do we keep laying people off because they have been replaced by technology?

ReplyDeleteObama talks about how our country is bound together and we stick together through everything. He talks about beliefs and why our beliefs sets us apart from other countries. He also talks about steps that he wants to take to create more jobs and help the recession in the future. The competition for jobs has changed and it is challenging everyone in the US.

ReplyDeleteThe U.S. is like a role model to other countries in the way the world is changing such as with technology.
Obama talks about the private sector of job gains and losses and how it has effected our country. He also talks about how times have changed, but maybe not for the better. It surprised me how he brought up how China has made advancements. I figured he would mainly focus on the US. After watching the video, I realize that Obama is a great speaker. He may not put everything he says into action, but he makes the country believe it.

Obama is talking about how our government is . He is saying we stick together . He is saying people are getting laid off because of technology . He says how everyone wants to go to school here .

1.) They clap a lot so he must be well liked by those people. Also he is good at speaking out and is very motivational and can get everyone excited.
ReplyDelete2.) I agree with him when he says the hard work of our people should be rewarded. Also when he said our economy is starting to grow again which is good, and how the american people have to work on it together. Also he talks about how things have changed but not necessarily for the better which I agree with too.
3.) I feel like I learned more and understand things more fully.
Obama is a joke. He doesn't do anything good for our country. Technology is takin everyones jobs away so how can we move forward if were all with no jobs? Or economy aint growing. Everything is going up in price and people can't afford to do anything anymore. People don't have the money. His speech means nothing to me.
ReplyDelete1. There are a lot of members of the government, they clapped a long time. I like how he mentioned Gabrielle Giffords and wished her well. Obama is a very good speaker and gets our attention.
ReplyDelete2. Who are the 2 independents in the senate? He talks about jobs and how the stock market is going back up. He talks about benefits that families get. If prices (gas, etc.) are going up in our country, why are people getting paid less? Technology is great, but it is the main cause why so many people don't have jobs.
3. I don't feel better about our country because people can say they're going to do all these things, but it doesn't mean it's going to happen.
President Obama talks about the Arizona shooting first to start off and then goes into our economy. He talks about the issues we have and everything from jobs to technology. He talks about stories of a few and their accomplishments through these hard times. He tries to make the country believe that there is going to be change. The stock market is coming back which is a good sign for this economy even thought it has a long ways to go. America's paychecks are a little bigger which helps the economy also. Some other countries are making changes. The world is changing. Their is a competition for jobs. Were home to the most colleges and universities and more students come here than others.
ReplyDeleteObama talked about how our economy was in a recession, but how things are changing. He talked about how the competition for jobs shouldn't discourage us, but it should challenge us. Its funny how he mentions that the US has the biggest economy, yet we also have the biggest debt. Obama is a salesman and could sell a ketchup flavored lollipop to a woman in white gloves.

Why make more technology to make more people lose their jobs?
I think that just because the technology is growing it doesn't mean people should be losing their jobs.

to me, i think he mostly talked about jobs. I think he makes the economy seem easier than it really is, and better. when in reality, its horrible and has been for a long time. I do think Obama is good for the United States. In my opinion, hes fixing what Bush broke.
ReplyDeleteEven though he says we need to do all this stuff to become a better country, I don't think he can get the job done. Like Mr. Davis said we have the highest debt in the world.
ReplyDeleteI think he should sit down and try to cut back on things we don't need and try to eliminate our debt. Maybe if we finally stop illegal immigration and let it be know to the Mexicans when they do come over here they will go straight to jail whether this is the land of opportunities or not. It's AMERICA , we speak ENGLISH, we shouldn't have to spend money on people teaching us someones else language. It's our country so if you don't like it LEAVE!

I agree with Obama's plans for the most part. However, i think he should also try cutting back on unnecessary items. Our debt is the highest, and it doesn't help if we import everything. Maybe if we start making thing here, it would create jobs and lower debt. Hmmm...
I think obama is good for the country to a point. I think he is good for fixing the problems Bush created, but we need to lower our debt.

ReplyDeleteI thought that president obama has alot of work to do because we are in great trouble with the money we owe. But he is doing a great job on geting the export rate high it is helping use alot. I do believe that if he keeps this up he will help use alot.
ReplyDeleteThat the exports are helping the us alot. And that he is trying to get the jobs back for some people.
I feel that if we give obama more time he can do something for the us. it's just a mader of time before we get on the right track and geting out of the debt.
