    - I believe the kid was innocent because he didn't know the gun was in his bag and it's not like he pulled it out and was pointing it at someone. Give him a chance-maybe if it happens again, take action.

  3. I think that the kid deserves another chance. He says it was an accident. I don't think it is fair that he is expelled.

I don't think he should have to serve that harsh of a punishment . I think that if he did get punished it should be for a week or two ,not a year .

I think his punishment is way too harsh. He was 7 years old, it was an honest mistake. He never pulled the toy gun out and made a big deal about it. It is going to ruin his future.

  6. Even tho he was 7 and did this, his punishment shouldn't have been 1 year expulsion. He should have known better but things happen.

I think that the kid knew he shouldn't of brought the gun too school but I don't think that he understood the consequences or what the big deal was about bringing a toy gun to school.

The boy didn't realize that the gun was in his bag until he was at school, but he never pulled it out. I don't think they should've expelled him.

I think expelling a 7 year old boy for a plastic toy he forgot was in his backpack is a little extensive. I understand the no tolerance policy but he made a mistake and it really doesn't need to follow him throughout the rest of his education.

  13. I think that they should have punished the boy maybe not to that extent but he was old enough to know better.

In my opinion I thought it was wrong for him to be expelled, instead they should have just given him a punish, like a suspension or something . I agree that a 7 year old should know better than to bring a toy gun to school. Even if he accidentally left it in the bag from the day before, he should be more responsible and take it out after he's done playing, that or not use his school book bag for games that deal with weapons.

  18. I think the punishment is acceptable because it was a weopon no matter how you look at it and the kid knew if he put it in his bag or not. Dumb mistake gonna follow him for life.

He was a young kid. The gun was a toy and he did not take it our of his bag. He should not have been expelled.

I think that they went a little over the top on expelling the kid. He didn't mean to bring it to school, and it wouldn't of been able to hurt anyone anyway. Also, he never took it out of his backpack.

I think that the school was out of line to expel the kid for a year. I think that there was probably a better solution.

I think that the punishment is unacceptable because he never took it out of the bag and it is a TOY!!!! If this stays, we might as well ban all toys.

  25. I don't think the kid got a fair punishment because he was only 7 and at 7 you haven't learned allll the consequences like we have now when were 16.

-I think that the boy shouln't have got expelled. He never took the gun out of his gun and it wasn't a real gun.

  27. I think that the kid should not have been punished because the national law says as long as a toy weapon has an orange cap on the barrel it signals toy not real and how many see through 9mm do you see? Come on people he was 7. Carrying a pocket nife to school is more dangereous than a little plastic bb and i know alomost every guy has carried a knife to school.

I don't think that he should have gotten in so much trouble because he didn't pull it out while he was there and it was just a toy. He still could have been punished but not to that extent.

  29. I don't think the boy should have gotten expelled if he didn't pull the gun out. And even if he did.. it was a toy gun it's not going to hurt anybody. That is too harsh of a punishment for that kind of thing. Maybe they could have at least gave him 1 week or something but not a year. He is going to have a hard time in the future.
