This church has a very skewed view about what the Bible says. They have taken what they have think they read, and changed it to what they feel is right.
ReplyDeletei don't think an age limit is a good idea, but everyone should understand what they are protesting.
People should just have their own ideas, and only go out and protest if they know they can win and not be brainwashed cultists. Malcome X, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr.
ReplyDeleteIf you are 5 and you are exercising your right to free speech there is no way you already have a mindset about how you feel. The only way they would have a side is by being told what to think by their parent
ReplyDeleteI think that it is okay that they are exercising their rights, but they go too far when they protest at a soldier's funeral... if it weren't for the military, they wouldn't be able to protest if it weren't for the military... I don't think there should be an age limit because everyone has freedom of speech...

This is kind of sad because it is giving a bad name for christians. And they do have the right to picket but i don't think it is right to be able to use your children. That little girl had no idea what she was doing and dragging your kid into that is just sad. The boy seemed a little more aware but I guess children will believe anything you teach them from a young age. If you instill that unicorns are real from the day your child is born then why will probably believe that for the rest of their life. I guess there should not necessarily be an age limit but you must prove that you know what you are talking about and what you are protesting
ReplyDeleteI think that the people protesting from the baptist church are wrong. I agree completely with the pastor that talked from the rock church about how God loves everyone and he did walk with the prostitutes and we should be reaching out towards those people and not pushing them away and calling them names. I also agree with the older lady that said those christians are the people who make other christians look bad.

I think it's horrible that they would involve their children in the protest, I think there should be a law saying that you can't protest the government until you're eighteen, old enough to vote. I don't really think they have thought through what exactly they were saying.
ReplyDeletethey said that when they go tell everyone and they ignore them then it means when god comes to judge them they can't say well i didn't know and i think they totally misunderstand that bc doesn't god say you need to keep reaching out to people not just say well taht sucks, you missed out.

i think it is good that the family got money out of funeral because that is very distrubing to deal with while you are at a funeral with your loved ones
I think a age limit is a good idea because you are putting this kids in a spot with out letting them think what is wrong or right at a young age..they really don't know how to think for themselves so their parents tell them what to do
I don't fully understand what that church is mad about, but I think that it is ridiculous because they should never protest at a funeral. Especially a funeral of a military soldier that was fighting for their freedoms. If the soldiers had never won their freedoms than they wouldn't even have the right to protest. The government was right to let them marry who they wish. I also don't think that it is right for young kids to be protesting in a situation like this, but they have the freedom of speech too.

Everyone that lives in the U.S. and pays their taxes has a right to free speech. And yes, there should be some sort of age limit, like 10 years and younger and you can't protest, but you can't really stop a mom or dad from teaching how to raise their child.
ReplyDeleteThe church that protested about the bible is trying to feel like they know what the right thing is and they want everyone to join them even though it's not the right way, i don't think the age limit is a smart choice, someone probably by the age of 13 could be protesting but probably don't know what the protest is about.
ReplyDeleteI believe that God put us on this Earth for men to be with women. I don't agree with the church protesting at funerals because that is just wrong no matter who or what is going on. The U.S. can't tell people they can't be gay, but if they are then they should still have the same rights as normal citizen.

ReplyDeletePersonally I think that it is ridiculous that these people from the church are protesting this. I think that it has nothing to do with the military at all. God is not punishing the military because the US accepts gays/lesbians. I don't think it is right for the people from the church to go to a military funeral and protest there. Those people as a believer in god should respect those people. I also don't think there should be an age limit, but I do think that it is sad that the parents would use their kids to protest when they don't understand what it means.

I don't think there should be limits but everyone should know what is being protested and why it is being protested.

It's not these peoples rights to go and do this. I think that there should be an age limit on protestors because young kids don't even no what their doing, their parents just tell them to go and hold a sign up.

i believe that it is ridiculous how disrespectful they are. protesting at funerals is wrong. i believe that the rights of the family are more important than freedom of speech. being able to speak your mind is a privaledge and they took it to the extreme. i think there should be an age limit on protesting because at a certain age you can think clearly and know what is really going on and not just follow along.
ReplyDeleteI think it's wrong that the church was doing this. A church should not preach that god hates people. It's very damaging to society and people's opinions might be affected, including our children. If children accept hate, there's going to be hate in the future.

Going to the age limit yes i do think that there should be a age limit because at a young age your mind takes in alot and they really dont have the experience to know if its right or wrong.

ReplyDeleteProtesting at funerals is disrespectful to the families. I think that they should of been arrested for that. When a girl was saying that there were kids who were under 5 at the protests is really wrong. I dont really see why people would protest others sexuality. Its who they are and nobody can change that and it wouldnt have to matter for military. They are risking their lives like straight people are so what is the difference? Protesting is just stupid and it shouldnt matter to them how people live their lives. Let them do what they want
ReplyDeleteI personally think that the Church protesting about how God hates us is wrong. I thought when people go to church, they believe in God... The military are the ones that gave us right, to make the world a better place. They aren't dying because God hates us, they are risking their lives for us to be free and have the rights we do today. I do think that there should be an age limit on when they can protest because like on the video, the kids had no idea what was going on, they were just hold up signs. They are influenced by their parents and don't have a high knowledge of why they are doing what they are. The children could have different beliefs/thoughts than their parents.
ReplyDeleteI think that the people protesting against what the government is doing is a little too far out there. It doesn't matter what ones sexuality is or what religion they choose to be apart of, everyone is equal. No one has a standing over another individual because of their color, sexual preferences, or religion. There should be an age limit on how old someone can be to protest, like 10 or 11 is when you can start picketing.

They are confused and should be taught acceptance not hate people that the don't know just because of how they live their lives. The baptist church should not be protesting at funerals. Families are there to remember their family members and should not have to deal with others that don't know them saying they are wrong and all that.

I think that the church protesters have the right to protest but by protesting at funerals is wrong because it upsets and disturbed the family of the deceased that fought and died for everyones rights to have free speech. I believe that children should be in protests unless it really means something to them and not just the adults that are protesting.I believe that there shouldn't be a age limit but there should be more of a personal reason to do so rather than the reason that your parents are protesting.
