    3. I think they did what was best for protecting their community when they saw his suspicious actions.

the officers had reason to believe that he was doing something illegal when he ran and therefore they caught him and searched him.

  3. I helped defend illinois
I believe the police were right
I think they were just trying to keep everyone safe and he seemed suspicious and ran from a marked car.

    3. Because the cops had a right to go after him, if he didn't have anything to hide then why did he run.

The cops saw a man run away so they followed him and had a suspicion he was hiding something so they searched.

    3. They did the right thing because he took off running holding a bag which would look really suspicious giving the police reason to suspect something.

If you take evasive action and run from the law they have the right to pursue you due to the suspicious actions you showed. Also, carrying an unregistered gun is illegal and even if the gun is registered it is illegal to have a gun in your possession if you do not have your concealed carry permit.

Because they believed he was suspicious due to the white bag he was carrying. The white bag could have had drugs in it and so they had a probable cause to search him.

    3) I am not sure about it because yeah he did one wrong and was carrying a weapon but he was scared and that is why he ran...The cops might have been doing good but we all know who is going to win and that is Illinois

    3. Reason being is because if your a cop, and your just walking down the street minding your own business when suddenly, a man sees you and starts running, the first thing that comes to your mind is "he's hiding something". It's only the cop's job to investigate.

I thoufht he was innocent at first, and police were wrong, but i see the truth now.

    Wardlow.
There was no probable cause so there was no reason to search him. He may have had no intention of using the gun and just because he decided to run didn't mean that he was guilty of anything. The gun could of been used for protection especially in the area of high drug traffic.

There could be some suspicion, but he wasn't doing anything and the police had no right to search him.. maybe he had the gun maybe to protect himself.. no one knows...

If he hadn't ran from the cops they wouldn't have deemed him suspicious.

  17. I was on Illinois and I believe that they were right to be suspicious because the man took off right away. If the man had nothing to hide then why did he run?

He was minding his own and didn't deserve to be pursued. There was no probable cause.

I think the police were just making sure that everything was going okay and doing their job.

Wardlow had nothing to hide. Maybe he ran away because he wanted to keep his gun for protection. Almost everyone's first instinct is to run if they're afraid.

I think the police were right to act apon the suspicion. If they hadn't we don't know what he would of done with the gun.
