I helped defend illinois I believe the police were right I think they were just trying to keep everyone safe and he seemed suspicious and ran from a marked car.

Illinois Illinois If you take evasive action and run from the law they have the right to pursue you due to the suspicious actions you showed. Also, carrying an unregistered gun is illegal and even if the gun is registered it is illegal to have a gun in your possession if you do not have your concealed carry permit.
Wardlow Illinois Because they believed he was suspicious due to the white bag he was carrying. The white bag could have had drugs in it and so they had a probable cause to search him.

Wardlow. Wardlow. There was no probable cause so there was no reason to search him. He may have had no intention of using the gun and just because he decided to run didn't mean that he was guilty of anything. The gun could of been used for protection especially in the area of high drug traffic.
